GENERAL MANAGER NTDA BAGS NANS & CONYO AWARDS
The General Manager, New Towns Development Authority (NTDA),Mr.Wasiu Akewusola and the Management team received delegations of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Congress of Nigerian Youths (CONYO) on a courtesy visit to the Authority on 26 July, 2018.
The purpose of the visit was to honor the General Manager with an award of Service to the Nation as an Emissary of Global Transformation and a Meritorious Award of Excellence, as an ICON of Societal Development.
The awards are to further encourage him to do more, not to rest on his oars, but, to reach for the sky. In addition, they (i.e. the awards) are to encourage the Youths and Empower them by creating Job opportunities.
The Authority was equally recognized for her “Landmark achievements in developing sustainable communities and monitoring of development, within Government schemes to prevent illegal development in Lagos State”.
In his response, The General Manager encouraged both organizations to get actively involved in governance, stressing that he is a firm believer in the Youths and would encourage them to take up leadership roles in the Society.
The team was led by the President Special Duties (NANS) Comrade Olarinde Thomas and Comrade Oloyede Oriyomi (President Congress of Nigerian Youths (CONYO).
