NTDA IDENTIFIES WITH THE PROFESSIONAL BODIES OF NIGERIA (APBN) LAGOS STATE CHAPTER ON THE 3RD LAGOS PROFESSIONALS' WEEK.

The Lagos State, New Towns Development Authority attends and identified with the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) Lagos State Chapter on the 3rd Professionals' Week Annual Public Lecture with a theme: Corruption, Ethics and Good Governance held 29th November,2018 at LCCI ,Alausa,Ikeja.

The Annual Public Lecture which was well attended by dignitaries , Professionals from different professional Body and the Management of New Towns Development Authority to cohabit on germane issues which degraded our society and the nation at large.

Chairman of the APBN Lagos State Chapter and the General Manager, New Towns Development Authority, Mr. Wasiu Akewusola who welcomed the dignitaries and the professionals at the event to their annual professionals week. He stated that the impediment of corruption acts in our society and the nation at large should be curbed from our different homes , that parents should encourage their children on a good conduct and etiquette of living in our environment.

The discussants who attended the event are : Mr. Femi Falana SAN, Pro. Lateef A. Hussain (Former Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University) , Dr. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru (Attorney General of Osun State and Mr. Yomi Badejo-Okusanye FNIR.

The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Femi Falana who gave a lecture on the theme of the event: ''Corruption, Ethics and Good Governance'' stated carefully after he has given series of analogy on the serious danger of corruption in our society and in governance. He charged the professionals that they should stand upright to involve their self as part of developing tools and change chain of the state and nation at large.

In addition, the investiture of its 5th Chairman; Mrs. Lynda Onefeli FCIS , which also came up at the grand finale of the Professional Bodies, Lagos State Chapter events week held on 30th November at the NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja.

However, The Keynote Speaker, Mrs. Folasade Adesoye , Head of Service Lagos State Government, spoke at the investiture , that a stability and sustenance of the codes of ethics, ideals and standards of professionalism in both the public and private sector across Nigeria. She said, as a critical stakeholder, our collective energy and resolve must continually be channeled towards entrenching and deepening professionalism, for the quality and very high standard of organization and particularly for the choice of the theme '' Excellence in professionalism''.

At the close of event, The 4th Chairman of APBN 2016 - 2018 Mr. Wasiu Akewusola, FNIQS, recorded numerous achievement / Corporate Social Responsibilities since 2016 - 2018 amongst are:
I. Career Lecture / Counseling
II. Free Health and Legal Clinic
III. Visitation to the Remand Home
IV. Cleaning of Market
V. Visits to various personalities and organizations that warehouse the professionals.
VI. Free seminar for the Lagos State civil servant.

Akewusola, who was accompanied by the President of APBN,Engr. Olumuyiwa Alade Ajibola and Former Lagos State Commissioner, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tpl. Toyin Ayinde who joined hands to investiture a first female new chairman of the Lagos State Chapter, APBN, Mrs. Lynda Onefeli.
