HOUSE COMMITTEE ON LAND MATTERS VISIT NTDA.
The General Manager, New Towns Development Authority (NTDA), Tpl. Olakunle John Aboyeji played host to the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee Members on Land Matters on Thursday 25th, July, 2024.
The team led by the Chairman Honourable Olayinka Eso Kazeem stated that the main purpose of the visit was to perform their oversight function on all issues relating to land matters within the State and providing support to the Agency where necessary, while fostering a cordial and seamless working relationship between the Legislature and the State Government Agency.
Tpl. Aboyeji expressed his excitement at receiving the team and briefed the Honourable members on the core mandate of the Agency which included the decongestion of Lagos Metropolitan by ensuring even development and creation of Satellite Towns within the 5 divisons of the State(IBILE) through Site and Services Schemes, Lump Sum allocation to both Private and Government Organisations, Review of Schemes and Provision of basic Infrastructure within the Schemes among others.
Hon. Olusegun Ege, Chairman House committee on Housing representing Ojo 1, hinted that the Agency was doing well but needed to do more to improve the even development within the State
The various Heads of the Departments and Units also highlighted their responsibilities and challenges
The General Manager NTDA, Tpl. Aboyeji appreciated the Committee members for their support and pledged to reciprocate the gesture through commitment to the service delivery rendered by the Authority.
Hon. Seyi Lawal Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology representing Ikeja 1 was also part of the visiting team.
