NTDA BOSS BAGS ANTI-CORRUPTION AWARD
The Acting General Manager New Towns Development Authority (NTDA), Tpl. Olakunle Aboyeji was today given an award for Excellent Leadership by members of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Fight Against Corruption Organisation (FACO).
The Chairman of FACO, Dr Francis Shopekan who led other members of the organisation to the office of the Acting Manager for the presentation of the award said that the award was meant to appreciate Tpl. Aboyeji for his excellent leadership style and unrelenting commitment to propagating the THEMES agenda of the present administration in the State.
He said it was commendable that despite the fact that corruption, bribery and dishonesty had eaten deep into our society, Tpl. Aboyeji remained determined in upholding virtues worthy of emulation.
Shopekan expressed the willingness of the organization, being a frontliner in the fight against corruption to partner with some agencies of the State government in ensuring that a good and lasting legacy was left for posterity.
He stressed that the award was to further encourage the awardee to do more and not rest on his oars but to strive harder and encourage those coming after him to embrace dedication, hardwork, honesty and integrity as a way of life and not just come into government service for selfish purposes.
Tpl. Aboyeji while receiving the award promised not to renege in his duties of ensuring the completion of all projects under the supervision of his office and also continue to maintain an open door policy throughout his tenure in office.
The Authority Secretary, Mrs Titilayo Noibi in her vote of thanks described the award as a well-deserved honour considering the pivotal roles play by the agency in implementing most of government projects.
