Responsibilities/Functions

The Town Planning Services (TPS) Department is saddled with:

1. Promotion of Large Scale physical development in the State through the preparation.
Carrying out site selection of Land on request by Government/Ministries/Department and Private Agencies/Developers in suitable and strategic locations

2. Development Control/Monitoring of illegal and unauthorized developments, unlawful excavation of sand or laterite and the dumping of refuse and industrial waste within Government Estates / schemes.
