NTDA,PMO STRATEGISES FOR BETTER SERVICE DELIVERY
Today, New Towns Development Authority (NTDA) today played host to the Permanent Secretary & some management staff of the Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO) who were on a working visit.
The visit which was aimed at evaluating and conducting a comprehensive assessment on the overall performance and compliance of the Authority to the standard operating procedures for Agencies and Parastatals.
The General Manager, New Towns Development Authority (NTDA), Tpl. Olakunle Aboyeji while receiving the delegation from Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO) gave a short brief about the activities of the Authority which include but not limited to Review of Schemes, Site & Services, Monitoring of Schemes, Clearing of Encroachments, as well the challenges faced in the line of duty.
He also explained in details Challenges faced in the course of duty, Review of Law establishing NTDA, Overall performance and Human Capacity Development which are germane to the Authority's efficiency and effectiveness.
The General Manager also called for the synergy and collaboration between the two Agency's of government as this will go a long way to enhance productivity and towards the overall growth and development of Lagos at Large.
The Permanent Secretary, Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO); Mrs. Adetutu Ososanya in her response explained that the development of Lagos State is the most paramount in the heart of Mr GovernorBabajide Olusola SanwoOlu
She reiterated that "we are Partners together in progress and we will continue to support the State Government and the Authority in whatever capacity needful so they can achieve their full potential."
She also mentioned that the enabling law that established the Authority needed to be rejigged in order to streamline the work schedule of the Authority for optimal performance.
